Lemon-Lime Guacamole Recipe

Lemon-Lime Guacamole Recipe

I am a salsa addict. Guacamole is a great addition to my chips and salsa problem. And it’s an easy dip for entertaining that makes me look like I worked harder than I did.  :)  This is a great recipe adapted from Recipes with Essential Oils! Lime is a secret weapon in making the best guac.

  • 2 ripe avocados, seeded and mashed
  • 1 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 drops Lemon essential oil
  • 2 drops Lime essential oil
  • 1 small Roma tomato, diced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh cilantro leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream, optional
  • Salt to taste. Also add 1 drop Black Pepper essential oil if you have it!

  • Add avocado flesh to small mixing bowl and smash with a fork. Mix in the red onion, crushed garlic, lemon essential oil, lime essential oil, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, sour cream and salt to taste.
  • Add more lemon and/or lime essential oil, 1 drop at a time, to taste.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

TIP: Here’s my cheater version. I love using Wildtree products to make my life easier in the kitchen. Wildtree has a wonderful Guacamole Seasoning.  When I’m making guacamole quickly, I mix 2 avocados with 4 1/2 teaspoons of Wiltree’s Guac Seasoning, plus 2 drops of Lime essential oil, 1 drop of Black Pepper essential oil (and maybe some chopped tomatoes) and VOILA!

WT Guac
